For the cycling enthusiast.  Modern bicycles and bike racks can be hired with your motorhome; must be pre-booked and pre-paid.  Bike racks for 3 bikes can be fitted to any 4 and 6 berth size motorhomes;  and bike racks for 2 bikes can be fitted to smaller motorhomes.  These are available in conjunction with hires from either Auckland or Christchurch, including one way hires.  United Campervans also offers a series of suggested short duration bicycle trails throughout New Zealand.

*  Bikes are all general-purpose models suitable for both road use and moderate off-road conditions
*  Suitable models are available for children
*  Child seats are available and can be fitted on request
*  More specialised bicycles or equipment are available through an arrangement with a specialist Bicycle Rental company - must be requested - subject to availability
*  Helmut, cycle lock and repair kit are supplied with each bike
*  All bikes are insured by United Vehicle Rentals; an Excess of NZ$ 100 per bike and bike rack will apply to cover loss or damage
*  Bicycle hire must be ordered at the same time as the vehicle hire.
